Introduction Clinical Projects have been developed where PiP members have identified services in particular need of improvement. In the main, PiP has concentrated on services where there is a potential for networking, in order to add value from a collaborative approach. Each clinical project is managed by a working group, which reports to the steering committee. Web space is dedicated to the description of each project, with it's aims and objectives and regular progress reports. The clinical projects normally follow a defined pattern, which has so far proved to be successful.
PiP is able to support clinical projects with Service Development and business planning, and by working closely with children's commissioners (see surgery). There is a constant tension between developing new clinical projects and providing adequate resources to service the existing projects to the level that is required. Effecting service change to fulfill our aim, "to improve quality and accessibility of children's services" takes a very long time, therefore we strive to develop strong working relationships with those involved in commissioning services. PiP is an open organisation and we are keen to welcome anyone from the PiP area to join our clinical projects, whether or not their organisation is a partner. If you would like to be involved with a project, please contact the project leader, who can be found by accessing the project web pages. |
